Schools Update

Wesley managed to scrape through to the Senior Cup semi-final as they snuck past King's Hospital. They trailed 3-1 after goals from Conor Treacy, Nick Foster and Richie Bagnall before a late fight-back saw them pull through 4-3 - Kyle Goode scoring a stunning reverse-stick shot as the game looked set to go to strokes. They will now face perennial rivals St Andrews in the last four.

The winner of this tie will go on to play High School who beat Dundalk Grammar yesterday afternoon.

  1. It's disappointing that Andrews meet Wesley in the semi-final as whoever wins this will surely go on to win in the final!

  2. such a joke the way wesley and andrews are on the same side makes for a very boring final... andrews keith kenning is a great ball player and is wesleys biggest fear

  4. KH are obviously improving. I remember the days we used to thrash them by 5 or 6. They've also had an extreme rivalry of wesley instilled into them (must be from years of Wesley success, previously experienced by KH decades ago!)

  11. Andrews team always depends on how well carson and coley are playing...

  12. The St andrews team has 7 under 16 and 18 irish players on it! I dont think that Bannbridge can really compare to that to be honest!

  20. yes wesley and andrews both have good players and are good teams . most of those players are playing club hockey week in week out , so improvement is bound to occur , i think we should highlight the fact of teams that dont have this ,as they are basically trying to compete against club players and credit must go to those schools like , highschool, kilkenny , k.h. who put up great performances.
