The Irish Universities – via the IHA and the Irish Unis Hockey Association – have been invited to participate in the first World University Hockey Championship in Johannesburg from November 30 to December 6 2008.
The invitation has been extended by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), and the Organising Committee of University Sport South Africa (USSA). This offers international competition to the Men’s and Ladies University sides, which traveled to Scotland in 2008 for their international trip.
