The IHA has named February 21 as the date for Irish Senior Cup refixes to take place after 13 games in the men's and women's competition were cancelled due to snow last weekend.
The date was initially reserved for the third round of the competition but that round will now take place on February 28. This will cause a slight disruption to both the men's and women's Leinster division one programmes, the extent of which will be known after the 21st.
Railway and Corinthian's campaign has yet to get underway while one first round tie - Raphoe and Banbridge - has still not been completed either while a further issue affected could be the IHL refix between Annadale and Cookstown. The IHA had been waiting until after the weekend to see if a possible date would be freed up but the ongoing poor weather has made left the schedule even tighter to fit the game in.
Both sides have currently suggested March 28 as a date that may suit though it may be preferable for the competition to see the game played before the fourth round of IHL fixtures on March 7 to have their group on an even keel.
Men's ISC refixes (February 21):
Round One:Raphoe v Banbridge;
Round Two: Corinthian v Railway Union; Fingal v Cookstown; Mossley v NICS; Lisnagarvey v Annadale; Bangor v Three Rock Rovers; North Down v Glenanne
ESB Women's ISC refixes:
Round Two: Loreto v UCD; Railway Union v Old Alex; Corinthian v Glenanne; Lurgan v Armagh; Ballymoney v Cork C. of I; Pembroke v Belfast Harlequins

just to note the 28th is the quarter finals of the IJC. there will be possibly disruptions to this too.
damn you winter!
Is there any chance that both Leinster Branches may extend the playing season into April for the Ladies and into late April/ early May for the Men?
even an extra weekend would lighten the load! It may help in ensuring that players don't get injured and also that younger players aren't overplayed.
