Can someone please tell me why mc inroy would leave the best club in Ireland and go to Corinthians?

McInroy went simply for the money I would imagine, hes a good coach from what I hear but no disrespect to corinthians I dont think it will make a huge difference unless he brings in players especially after losing Lucas. Arul will be quality at Glenanne though, definatly a team that will win next year. As for pwhc it will be intersting to see if they bring in any players, michael o'connor is going back but id be interested to see if Fulton brings in a big name.

people bitch that the league doesnt have enough strong teams, now people bitch that other squads are strenghtening there teams jokers.

Is Mick O'Conner definatly going back to PW?? If that is true i believe he could be a suprise package next season. He is a great player with alot of promise. And will only be stronger with a better team around him. Good luck to him anyways.

Two strange moves in Lucas and Mclnroy. Lucas is more obvious of the two. EHL and AIL beckons for him. But Mclinroy loses out on AIL.

This is going to be interesting to watch over the summer.

not sure if o connor will make it at pwhc..

I certainly didn't see the Lucas move but it does make sense if he was not offered the head coach job a head of McInroy when he's given several years of service to the mid table club.

McInroy can't be blamed for not knowing Corinthians history of failure to improve from mid table finishes despite lots of effort. What team does he expect to get a head of. He'll never win a big cup nor a league and must somehow finish above one of the following; Monkstown, Glenanne, Pembroke, 3 rock in order to gain automatic qualification to the AIL...can't see it happening. Michael O'Connor is a talented young player but he'd be mad to move to Pembroke whose he going to start ahead of Elliot, Sheriff, Southern, Giles or another South African PW are bound to bring in. He'd be better off going to one of the other top 4teams. Speaking of talented young players, is Ian Walker or Robinson on the move it'll be hard for YM to achieve AIL qualification and near impossible to qualify for Europe, those players are more then capable of playing at the top level

It shall be an interesting summer and a great year of hockey.

mclnroy moveed to be a player coach, i think it was a good move and goodluck to him. chc have a few new players comimg in next season. He must want a new challenge.

Anonymous said...

why did Arul change his mind to go to glens from 3rock.

Anonymous said...

I think he went to glens because of the challenge, and i mean challenge in the sense that its got to be a challenge to tame some of the older heads in that team. Seems that there might be a few players in that squad that thought they knew better than rory, nas and jonny C. Arul wont stand for that behaviour. Glens will be a force next season!!

From what I heard walker and robinson have joined the glens...few people have said they were chasing walker and Im pretty sure robinson would do well there.

Whilst there are grains of truth (and some certainties) in a number of the rumours flying around in the comments here, please treat all the comments here with a pinch of salt.

Every year, there is plenty of talk of players moving, right up to the last moment. I'll endeavour to track down as many of the stories as possible but do not treat these comment trains as gospel!

I have a few confirmations and will publish them in due course!

What sort of a comment is that....he came for the challenge of tameing the older heads..unless you were in that squad how could you possibly know what went on...i was in that squad and rory, jonny were treated well...to be honest to make a comment like that is extremely naive...there was some arguments but respect in that club is a major factor and the coaches got that..remember that these are the european champions your talking about...so there couldnt have been much tameing needed.

haha robinson to glenanne

Anonymous said...

So that does that mean Walker is going to Glenanne...

Anonymous said...

walker 2 the glens?! ha, chances of him joining them!!!!

Anonymous said...

well if walker wants to achieve at the top level he may have to go to a top team, and Im not being harsh on doran but he;s miles better than him. Walker wont start at pwhc cos of harte, henderson at TRR, and that only really leaves the glens for him to go too!!a top team that he'd walk onto

haha walker t glenane
