The other links for live streaming online that I have to hand are from hockey.nl and NOS - I'm not sure if these work in Ireland but the producers of the former site have told me if you can change your 'proxy settings' you may be able to connect. If you have any other ideas, feel free to post them in the comments.
A win for the Irish against the world number seven side would -barring a massive surprise in the Germany-Scotland game - earn a semi-final place in the EuroHockey Nations Championships along with a 2010 World Cup place.
British Eurosport 2 will broadcast three lives matches today as well as a couple of highlight packages, too, one of which is at 2pm. If you're unable to make it to a tv screen, Eurosport does provide a subscription service for an online broadcast.

Are you sure this is correct that Ireland will be a live game showing on Eurosports 2 at 14:30, because we checked British Euro Sport 2 and the game listed is Germany v Scotland at 14:30 - 16:00!! Previous game is Mens Poland v France at 14:00 to 14:30! Plus according to the hockey.nl site Ireland play Spain at 13:30 (netherlands time) our time 12:30. Any ideas on this....?

Ireland game does not look like it'll be shown live. May possibly be part of a half hour highlight package at 2pm. My listings guide just says 'Field Hockey' 2pm to 2.30pm
Live hockey at 2.30pm will be Ger vs Sco.

No worries...You had us all on the edge of our seats at the thought of seeing the game live, as we didn't make it over and our daughter is playing.....! You never know, they may show other games, but according to most sites it's either mens games or other countries showing other than Ireland women...typical!

If you go to the Live tab, I've been assured it should work... however, some people have expressed problems with this.
Hi Stephen, Thanks for update. No it definately doesn't work unless as was said elsewhere, you use a proxy server to fool the link into thinking it's a local connection!!

From asking around, there is no other live update site except for the Dutch matches over here.
Internet connection has been quite dodgy during non-Dutch games so if there is a gap in service, apologies in advance.
If you have cabled NTL. Eurosport 2 seems to have taken over Setanta sports news. So you can watch all the televised matches there.
