Loreto piled on the pressure in the second half but were unable to nab the decisive score after Cathy McKean had levelled from a counter-attack early in the second half. Louisa Murphy gave Alex the lead from a short-corner rebound after thirteen minutes. The result, though, doesn't really help either team as they failed to gain ground on early pace-setters Pembroke and Railway.
