3rd/4th Playoff: St Andrew's 3 (Niamh Atcheler, Jenny Doran, Chloe Watkins) Loreto Wexford 1 (Katrina Parrock)
St Andrew's claimed All-Ireland bronze thanks to three second half goals as they completed their Kate Russell campaign unbeaten in normal time.
They produced the goods after Loreto had shown good form in the first half with a strong influence from the Horan dynasty.
The half ended scoreless and Andrew's had to contend with losing Gillian Pinder to a nasty knee-injury. But they went ahead when pusher-out Niamh Atcheler got a touch to a straight corner strike. Jenny Doran added a second before Katrina Parrock put the game in the balance.
But Chloe Watkins dragged in a corner to make the game safe and take fourth overall.
5th/6th Playoff: Bandon GS 1 (Kate Murphy) Ballymena Academy 0
Bandon Grammar produced an immense defensive effort in the first half of their fifth/sixth place playoff to win the first of today's playoff games.
It was once again built around the goalkeeping of Emma White who was immense, rebuffing 10 first half corners, while Kate Murphy was a rock at the heart of defence.
Murphy scored the only goal in the second minute, netting a corner rebound after Jessica Kingston's initial shot was pushed away by Ashley McIlroy.
From then on, Ballymena dominated. The free-running of Ciara Corbett, Lauar Robinson and Sarah Shaw created numerous chances, winning a number of corners but to no avail.
Bandon came back into it in the second half, producing the game's best chance in the last minute, when Roycroft set up Gemma Kingston who fired just wide.
