Men's U21 Championships

Leinster finished their series of matches with a 5-1 win over Munster. It means they have a chance of retaining their U21 crown if Munster do the improbable and beat Ulster.

More details when I receive them...

Results so far
Ulster 2 (Neil Hamilton 2) Leinster 1 (Alan Sothern)
Leinster 5 (Mitch Darling 2, Alan Sothern 2, David Robinson) Munster 1 (Jason Lynch)

Team badly picked! They had 2 under 18 players on the team when there was players perfectly able to compete who play 1st hockey week in week out. Smith, Ward, Loughery, none of which play 1st team hockey. This sums it up another year where Leinster could have won the interpros gone.

bit harsh dude, seeing as there's no details up about the tournament whatsoever. were you there? what did they do wrong in the games?

very harsh comment.i was there and belive that Loughery was one of the better players of the team and as for Smith and Ward they both played well and i feel they dont deserve that criticism.

You onviously have no idea what your talking about. Stu loughrey was outstanding at the weekend. and wardy and smythy did their jobs too!Age has nothing to do with this its how you perform at the sessions and how hard you work. Maccers picked the team on that and that team was more than good enough to win but we didnt play well on the friday...simple as that!and that cost us!too criticise a player because of his age and think that was the problem is extemely one minded...maybe ur one of these players that just didt train hard enough, or didnt perform!

Loughrey recently broke into the PWHC mens first team and has played the last 4 or 5 games for them and done extremely well, heard he was the stand out defender for the leinster team in garvey at the weekend also, congrats to him ,a certain one to watch...
