Monkstown win in Nijmegen

Monkstown won the prestigious under-14 tournament hosted by Union HC in Nijmegen. In blistering heat, they topped their group winning four and narrowly losing one pool game.

In Sunday's semi-final, they came out on top in very tough physical game against BHV Push winning 2-1 with goals from Max Bradley and Aran Rooney.

In the final against UHC Qui Vive - the team they lost to in the final pool game - they won a hard fought contest, their efforts were rewarded with a short corner goal converted by captain David Cole.
