Follow Ireland live online

Ireland's crunch match with Argentina in the World Cup Qualifiers today will be streamed live online by TV Publica.

To watch it live, click here, and press play on the TV Pública en Vivo video on the top right of the page.

Ireland need a three goal to keep their World Cup dream alive. Coverage begins at 6pm (Irish time) with a 6.05pm tip off time. A big thanks to fellow blogger Annette who runs the Hoofdklasse Hockey Caballeros site.

* A couple of games have already fallen victim to the weather. In the ESB Irish Hockey Trophy. Three Rock ladies game with Sligo's Yeat's County is off while Our Lady's, Terenure will not travel to play Galway's Greenfields as a result of the heavy flooding on the Dublin-Galway road. On the men's side, Belfast Harlequins' tie with UCC is also off.

* In the Czech Republic, Railway Union picked up a win and a loss on the opening day of the Prague international indoor tournament. They began with a 4-1 defeat, Kenny Carroll on target, to Ontario Canada before bouncing back to win 3-1 against Bohemians, Prague. Paul O'Brien scored twice while Stephen O'Keefe netted from the penalty spot.

Well Done Sharpie. I have played on the same team as you many times and loved every minute. You are a great example to a lot of young players and i know they think the world of you. You train harder than anyone i know. Congrats on 150 Caps. You can do this. Best of luck to the team.

Not working for me

Its working for me, Ireland 2-0 down.

make that 3-0 down. Argies very impressive from corners.

4-0..can barely see the ball but Argies looking like they are breaking thru all of our lines with ease. Felt sorry looking at Shaw and Butler coming out after half-time..looked totally disconsulate..those guys have given a lot.

Brennan and Hobbs loss has had a major effect

Just saw the stats on TV. 15 penetrations to argies 18 yet only 3 shots compared to 8 and one penalty corner won. Quality of the forward play was shocking.

The guys should be commended on the last 6 months of hard work. They give a lot to play for their country. It must be hard for them now to be there and not make the final. With a 3rd place finish Ireland will have played to their ranking in the tournament. An upset would have been nice but remember that's what it would have been to qualify.

hey..3-0 v Belgium..4-0 against a team that only needed a draw. Its going to be a real test of that team to keep the level of intenstity..as we looked way off the achievement of the goal of qualification.

pity for Graham on his 150th cap..great and dedicated player.

Really trying to think of the positives here..trust me! Come on Ireland
