* In a busy week of awards, three rising stars of the women's game were honoured this week by two major newspapers. The Irish reached the last four - despite being ranked 18th in the continent - getting the better of Turkey, Slovenia and Denmark in first qualifying stages before emerging ahead of Sweden, Ukraine and Poland in the second stage of the competition. They will now play Germany in the semi-finals next month. Gorman is currently a nominee for the IHA youth player of the year award.
