Two wins a piece for the Ulster U-16s and U-18s means they are in good position to retain both titles in the schoolgirl interprovincials.
Standing in their way at U-18 level, though, are Connacht (11am) and Leinster (2pm) who both need a result against the northern province when they meet on Sunday.
Leinster's interest remains in the competition despite Elaine Carey's late goal giving Munster a 2-1 win in the early stages of the tournament. However, a brilliant second half performance against Connacht revived their tournament interest.
Trailing 2-1 at half-time, Deirdre Duke tied up the game and strikes from Aisling Naughton and Trish O'Dwyer swung the pendulum back in their favour. A win over South East in the first game on Sunday would see the blues right back in the hunt as Ulster face a tricky task against Connacht at 11.30am.
In the U-16s, Leinster lie in a tie for second place following a 2-2 draw with Connacht in the first game of the day at Grange Road and a mid-afternoon 2-1 win over Munster courtesy of Lauren Haughton's winner.
Their tie with Ulster on Sunday at 3.30pm could well be the tournament decider as the northern province beat Munster and South East with something to spare; Lucy McKee on target four times.
