UCD double up to tie top spot

Women's Leinster Division One (Sunday results):
Corinthian 0 UCD 4 (Lisa Jacob 2, Kerry McComish, Rosie Carrigan)
Two goals in each half at Whitechurch Park saw UCD at move into a three-way tie with Loreto and Railway Union at the top of division one, albeit with three extra games played, as they completed their pre-Christmas league campaign with a flourish.

Rosie Carrigan scored the goal of the day, finishing off a superb team move, while Kerry McComish got her fourth goal of the weekend and Irish international Lisa Jacob bagged a brace as Corinthian were outclassed on the day. For the reds, the loss leaves them in a tie for fifth place with Hermes to come next week.

Glenanne 0 Hermes 1 (Anna O'Flanagan)
Anna O'Flanagan's first half goal was all that separated Hermes from Glenanne as the Booterstown club closed the gap on the leading sides. Like UCD, they have played an extra game but three league wins in-a-row without conceding, combined with Saturday's IHL win over Alex, means Hermes are generating some momentum.

They controlled much of the possession and territory but found Shauna Frey - completing her second game for the club this weekend after registering with the Glens in the past fortnight - in fine form between the posts.

But a good move between Sarah Greene and Jenny Burke worked an opening for the latter to crash into the circle and O'Flanagan got the necessary redirection to take all three points.
