Loreto set for Italian job; UCD off to Prague

Inaugural IHL winners Loreto will travel to Rome for the EuroHockey Club Champion's Trophy next May 20-23, 2010, following an EHF announcement today.


They have been drawn in a group with Belgian champions La Gantoise - home club of former ALex and Trinity player Ciara Murphy - Russian club Izmaylova Moscow and Scotland's Kelburne.

The other group features Ukraine's Borispol, Azerbaijan's Baku, Italian club Libertas San Saba and Belarussians Ritm Grodno.

UCD, meanwhile, are in Prague for the Club Champion's Challenge I event. They face Belgian runners-up Royal Uccle, Cambrai from France and Switzerland's Rottweiss Wettingen.

The alternate group includes Italian, Belarussian, Lithuanian and Czech opposition and takes place from May 21 to 24.
