Glenanne V Pembroke
3.1 Glenanne
What was the score between Pembrooke and Glenanne last night?
What was the score from the Pembroke Vs Glens game?
Anyone see the Glenn's and Pembroke game last night? Which Irish team is going to win the EHL?
How did the Pembroke V Glens EHL prep game goyesterday evening?
I believe the Glens beat Pembroke 3:1
If yis could decide on keepin the aul subs down that'd be great....not all of us are uber-posh hockey players ye know!!
Something that should be discussed is the use of sand based picthes in League 1, ISC and IHL games - it should all be played on water.
sum clubs cant afford to get a water based pitch in so u cant just ban matchs from being played on then
No sand pitches - water based only - are you for real - remember its a minority sport - that is really struggling to survive never mind grow - to say only water based pitches allowed - would kill the game off.
I think people are trying to say no more games on shocking sand based pitches like Santry or Sportslink. There are plenty of good sand based pitches out there.
Also isn't there not a guideline to phase out water based pitches?
It looks like Trinity have secured 3 Rock as a venue to play their home games for the rest of the season.
Steve, are you going to have a preview of the EHL games?
No Sandbase pitches, WaterBase only!!!, whoever wrote that obviously won the Euro Millions Jackpot last week if he thinks All top teams should have water base pitches. I do agree that the pitches in Sportslink and Santry are discraceful but they are 2 of a kind. Corithians and Clontarf have 2 brilliant pitches allong with ex division 1 side Kilkenny. Waterbased pitches are a bonus to the teams that own and can AFFORD them. Hey if you want Waterbase pitches everywhere either move to Holland and go to all the Premier Dutch league games, or you could lend Clontarf, Corinthians, Fingal, Monkstown, YMCA, and Railway Union all about 300, 000 euros each of your Euro Millions Jackpot, then you can have your water based pitch.
when will all ireland schools group stages be announced
navan are now playing in Kings Hospital's new surface instead of sportslink santry.
There are plenty of good sand based pitches around such as the one in Corinthians. To suggest banning sand based is insane and unrealistic.
That being said however, certain pitches should be banned (Santry is a disgrace- so bad that Trinity even complain about it themselves to their own University in the latest University times).
Fingal is another one that comes to mind, along with Sportslink, RCSI.
YM are playing on water in Alex
Railway's pitch is waterbase.
Knowing a few Trinity players myself I know they all hate Santry as a pitch and that's why they are now hopefully going to be using 3 Rock Rovers as their home pitch for this season, I can't see anyone stopping them on Waterbase pitch
