Tonight's fixtures: News in brief

* Pembroke travel to Whitechurch tonight to face Corinthian as first plays second in a crucial men's Leinster division one game. A win will move the 'Broke five points clear of the chasing pack with a game in hand. Tip off is at 8.30pm.

Meanwhile, Railway Union will aim to keep their perfect run in all competitions going when they travel to Santry Avenue to face Trinity. That game gets underway at 7.30pm

* The UCC flood relief quiz and raffle raised over €900 to help replace equipment lost and damaged in the recent floods. he event was organised by Railway ladies first team squad and supported on the night by Railway, Trinity, Pembroke and Glenanne Ladies hockey clubs.

Corinthians seem to be a bit of a bogey team for Pembroke of late. Draw up there last yr and silver goal win in mills final. Wudnt be surprised if they win tonite.

what a cracking game of hockey from both sides...great game of hockey to watch and both teams were excellent on the field.
