Noel Keogh to lead Leinster

Noel Keogh will lead Leinster's senior squad for the tenth time as the Blues look to retain the Interprovincial title, won in stunning fashion last year at Grange Road.

Needing to win by five clear goals, Alan Sothern and Mitch Darling to net three goals in three minutes in the latter stages of their game against Munster to seal the title with a 5-0 win.

Keogh will be joined in the dug-out by former Corinthian top man and current Hermes' boss Colin Stewart while Arul Anthoni will help out as part of the coaching team while Ronan Walsh returns as manager.
The tournament takes place in Munster on March 13 to 15.

If were going by league form then Walker,McConnell(due to injury and not playing much) and Darling wouldn't be in there i reckon, the likes of alan giles would get in instead, but we all know that will never happen as Irish squad players are always going to be first in

Yep good luck to the Leinster gang. I agree that's a 'strong coaching team'. Great to see 'Bacus' back with Noeler and Walshy, and Arul is a great addittion. Does this mean Bacus is comming back to Mens hockey?

any idea who is the leinster u21's coach for this year

I think they should just field the Glenanne side again with a few additionals.

What a clever, insightful, well thought out observation that previous post about Glenanne and "additionals" (sic) was. Hours of preparation in that one. Well done.

Thanks, I'm glad you agree! Why change the perfect formula... Hurrah for consensus! ;)

whats the appeal of playing leinster interpro's anyway??? if you were to ask any of the international players they'd tell you that they dont want to play the games. Surely the only beneift at this stage is to introduce younger inexperienced players to all ireland competition. The top clubs in leinster all ready have this. It was rumoured that the interpro's could potentially get someone selected to teh irish team. That red herring has proven with time to be completly unfounded. The interpro's are pre-historic a bit like the people who organise it.

Your post about Glenanne and a few additionals was a bit silly. Glenanne have a good enough squad as it is to win the interpro's tbf tbh.

Go Gleinster!!!

I may be incorrect but I think it was a decision to either get rid of the Inter-pros or to bring them back to prominence. The decision makers have taken the second option. It's a good opportunity for the new coach to have another look at players I guess.

Doran no matter how many comments you leave you will still struggle to make the squad this year!!only buzzing with you!!

best of luck to whoever is selected, leinster should have enough talent to retain the trophy they won in style last year

Have to agree with the starting 11 posted in the second comment.

My bench would be; Watkins, Giles, Lee, D Bane

Fran Lee has to make this team. His form for Monkstown his year have been exceptional.

I have heard that the IHA would like all the leagues to loose all their local cup competitions, as well as the inter-pros. This is so that the players are not over played by the clubs.
So all the players will do is play their local league, Irish Senior Cup and IHL.

The internationals in Leinster may not want to play in the inter-pros but i know that the internationals in Ulster want to play and take a great pride in representing their province.

There was a time when ulster players did demonstrate alot of pride in playing for their provence. Unfortunately, that is defintely on the decline now along with the number of ulster internationals.

Yes i agree that Ulsters Number of Internationals is dropping and will probably continue to drop. But the passion to play, i think not.
