Men's Division Two: Avoca 6 Naas 0

Avoca 6 (Karl Chapple 2, Dave Fanning, Will Aylmer, Peter Haughton, Scott Wilkie) Naas 0
Avoca picked up their second win of the weekend and tighten up the playoff battle still further. Their win means there is now just three points covering second to sixth in the division two table with most sides still with seven league games to play.

Former Leinster U-18 Karl Chapple bagged a brace while there were single strikes for Dave Fanning, Will Aylmer, Peter Haughton and Scott Wilkie.

First of all Steve I want to thank you as a player for a great site, very informative and up to date.

As you have here reports on men's division 2, would it be possible to add the women's div 2 league table to the side bar along with the 3 other tables. This year the ladies div 2 is wide open with numerous clubs still in the running for the title

This is just a suggestion and I appreciate the personal time you put onto The Hook

There is no need to be so sarky. My comment was a polite and a somewhat tentative suggestion to have the women's div 2 table up seeing as the top two men's tables are there. I know there are a lot of second teams in the women's div 2 but there are clubs there whose firsts are looking for promotion.

Steven has kindly put a link to the Lenister website which I use regularly, but seeing the progress of the top leagues at a glance is handy.

With regards to Div 8 mens, UCD 3 and Kilkenny 3 seem to be the two main contenders!

I reinterate my thanks to Steven for running this website.

In response to 12:56pm, I'll add the ladies division two table to the right panel but, at the moment, I'm running pretty much at full capacity as time allows for full previews and round-ups.

At the moment, the blog is something I do outside my working hours and its hard to get everything done. As such, it won't be possible yet to cover ladies divsion two in full.

hey Steven, thanks very much for putting up that table. I didn't expect you to do division 2 round ups as I know this blog is done in your free time. Thanks again

Scott Wilkie's goal was the most amazing thing ive ever seen... Picked the ball off the line for his team, and ran the whole pitch beating about 5 or 6 players, before rounding the keeper and putting the ball in... Something special, obviously a star for the future!
