Division Two preview

All division two eyes this weekend will focus on Sutton Park for the North Dublin derby between Suttonians and Clontarf. After a preseason of high hope on the Howth peninsula, Suttonians have saved their best form for the Irish Hockey Trophy while struggling in the big ties in the league.

With three sides still maintaining a 100pc record in division two, a third loss for Suttonians may well spell the end of any title aspirations for Nasir Munir's team. Munir and Mukhtar Ahmed are always lively up front and will be their main threat and come into the game off a great result in Portadown.

Visitors' Clontarf, meanwhile, are also coming off a big result having taken the scalp of UCD in the cup and will probably go into the tie as favourites in what looks to be a cracker. Table-topping Skerries will expect three points from their game away to Navan while Bray will aim to make it four from four against Weston. Avoca play Naas in the day's other game.

Division 2 (Saturday)
Avoca vs Naas, TBC; Suttonians vs Clontarf, 1pm, Sutton Park; Navan vs Skerries, TBC; Weston vs Bray, 2.30pm, Esker

D'ont see easy wins for Bray or ourselves {Skerries] This weekend, Wouldn't judge those teams on their positions in the table, Weaton are getting themselves together and Navan are a tough team to break down at times. Seen Clontarfs frinedly with Fingal midweek, they look like the team to beat, which is why it will be so sweet when we do. haha

A great comeback by the tarf coming back from 2 down at halftime. They took the chances in the 2nd unlike the first to win 4-2.
What a result for navan beating skerries 2-1. What happened there?
Any other results?

Navan 2 Skerries 1 - Solid Navan performance, held firm throughout the match and hit Skerries with two late short corners to take the points!Great result and hopefully can build second half of the season on the back of it!

Great win for Navan, finally building on their good performances by getting points on the board. Look like the predictions were a bit off this week! Cheers Brian
