EHL Last 16 draw to be broadcast live online...

While Irish interest in the EHL has been reduced, next week you can find out the fate of the Irish trios playing at both HGC and Loughborough.

On December 19 at 6pm (CET) the draw for the last 16 and 8, knock-out phase, of Euro Hockey League will take place via a new virtual, interactive format. The EHL website will be the platform for this new format where teams, fans and press will be invited to actively take part.

The draw works as follows; each of the16 teams participating will be represented at the online draw through a webcam connection. The draw itself will be coordinated from a studio in Hilversum, under observation of the president of the European Hockey Federation, Leandro Negre.

The programme will consist of an interactive part and a directed studio part. Viewers watching the draw can choose which webcam they wish to view. For example, if you are a fan of Uhlenhorster HC, you can choose to see the club’s reaction during the draw.

The host in the studio will be asking reactions from all clubs, which can be viewed in the main directed screen. Viewers can ask questions in a special chat-box which has been designed for this purpose. Some questions will then be integrated into the programme by the host asking those questions to clubs behind the webcams.
