Are there any Irish players that wouldn't be out of place in this company? Are we talking about diferent levels of quality?

Dear anonymous,

Are you insane? These guys have played more times in World Cup, Olympic and Champions Trophy tournaments than Paddy Brown's tied his shoelaces. The Irish Men's team, unluckily confined to Euro Div B status, are still a generation off such aspirations.

I am well aware that no irish player is close to making this list but is it possible the likes of John Jermyn and Pheile Maguire would get close to any of the major nations (Holland, Germany, Spain, Australia)national teams seeing as they have shown their good enough to play in the dutch league and in jermyns case the EHL as well.

Can i please get the drugs that anonymous is on?? yes jermyn and maguire are great players but don 't think they would make the Australia team!! I play with 3 of the 4 Ozzies named on the World Team and they are a different league to any player i have played with or against in ireland.
