Cookstown and Cork C of I crowned

Cork C of I claimed the Munster league with a 2-2 draw against title rivals Cork Harlequins. They finished three points clear of their title rivals with Andy Herbert and Karl Burns on target for C of I and Richie Gash and Dan Hobbs with the goals for Harlequins.

Harlequins take the second Club Championships spot while Bandon go into the playoff for the All-Ireland league with Fingal and Instonians.

The point from the 1-1 draw with Banbridge was enough to secure the Podium Premier League title for Cookstown - their first for 25 years. The Tyrone side remain unbeaten in the league this season and clinched the championship with a game to spare.

Yesterday's results also decided a number of other issues.

Banbridge, Lisnagarvey and Annadale will definitely join Cookstown as Ulster's representatives in next season's inaugural All-Ireland League competiion. Instonians could still join them as the point gained from their 2-2 draw with Lisnagarvey ensured 5th spot and a place in the wild card play offs against Leinster and Munster opposition
