This AGM is not flagged on leinsterhockey.org.........

There is a simple solution here...

Blog administrator to run Leinster Website. Is that too joined up in terms of thinking....

We need a new set of rules on registration & eligibility and then they should be enforced --existing rules are complex, sometimes contradictory and if they are left intact will be challenged in the Courts

To 10.43 am, In fairness to the Leinster Hockey Branch, all club secretaries were informed of the AGM, last week. It is up to the individual club secretaries to pass the message on.

Hate coming on this site reading nothing but moans..agreed.

But its a bit irritating finding out about the AGM last night. I've attended it in the past and will again in the future...

In previous AGM's the issue over the website has been raised, over and over again.
I'm sure it took a good bit of money and time to put together, I just wish is was used to its' full potential. I won't be there this evening due to other obligations, I'm sure someone will raise this point with the Committee.

Clubs knew about this weeks ago if your club didn't inform you , you should contact them!

The type of people that are commenting on this blog should be the ones going to these meetings we are the ones who care about the future of the game!! If we don't the same old stuff will keep happening. it's up to us to change things and get new people and new ideas in!! I.E Website!!

there has been ambiguity in some of the rules for years, particulalrly with regard to the interpretation. The registration rule is one that has come under a lot of scrutiny and the branch are aware of this.

At the meeting last night it was agreed that the rules committee would prioritise undertaking a review of the rules in order to tighten them up, providign further clarity and reducing the possibility of differing interpretations.

People should remember that most of the people on the branch are volunteers who give up their time for free for hockey.

Most of the people on the branch have also been involved in hockey for a long time are trying to do their best.

Rules get changed every year, all of whcih are voted for at the AGM by the clubs.

At the meeting last night some clubs voiced their concerns in relation to some of the rules which was noted by the branch.

Yes the branch are not perfect, but you will find it much the same in every 'amateur sport'.

The best way to deal with any issues is to attend the AGM's, have your voice heard and vote.

No point in moaning about it here unless you are prepared to do something about it.

But then again...freedom of speech and all that....
