Each IHA affiliated hockey club, school and branch are entitled to make one nomination per category. These nominations are then shortlisted by the judges before a final winner is selected.
It is, therefore, imperative to make sure your organisation has completed the online form sent out and votes in each category to make sure the very best people are put forward.
The 2010 Categories are: Senior Club Player (male); Senior Club Player (female); U18 Player (male); U18 Player (female); Coach of The Year; Club of the Year; Umpire of the Year; Developing Club of the Year; Volunteer of the Year; U18 Coach of the Year; Youth Club of the Year; Hockey School of The Year Award.
The winners will be announced at the ESB Irish Hockey Awards 2010 which will take place this year on May 29 at Burlington Hotel Hotel.
Also at the Awards evening, new inductees will enter the Irish Hockey Hall of Fame – an institution, now in its fifth year, honouring legends of the past from Irish hockey's history.
