Railway face student tester tonight

After a couple of weeks break, the crucial endgame in women’s division one begins tonight at Belfield as Railway Union face a tester against UCD in their bid to retain the title.

The Park Avenue side dismissed the students in the Jacqui Potter Cup in some style back in January but, with European concerns on the horizon in late May, this represents one of just a handful of chances to test themselves in a competitive environment.

Whatever happens, Saturday’s tie with Hermes at St Andrew’s looks set to be a battle royale with the final destination of the title certain to be a far clearer picture.
