Navan hockey club are looking for an experienced coach to develop the men's first team, currently plying their trade in division two.
The club currently train in King's Hospital in Palmerstown while playing matches in the Sportslink grounds, making the club accessible for a potential coach based in Dublin.
Affectionately nicknamed the Badgers, Navan is one of the younger clubs in Leinster hockey but have made big strides through the leagues since their inception in 1991.
At a time when many of the larger clubs have been dropping teams, the club has grown to now consist of three men's teams and an expanding youth section and our hoping to keep moving the club in the right direction.
If you are interested in applying, email club chairman Simon Clarke at sportsden@gmail.com

Navan could potentially be a strong club in a decade or so given the enormous number of children living in recently developed commuter belts. Provided of course that the club continues to develop its youth section and provides good coaching. Same goes for Naas.
I agree, there are an enviable amount of underage players coming through the ranks at Navan, some bigger, more established clubs could take note of the dedication Navan have to their development.
