How does anyone fancy Bandon's chances this year?

Not good. They've lost almost half of their squad from last year and are only no. 2 or 3 in munster this season. They'll do well to get out of thier group.

how are we no.2 or 3 in munster we beat ashton and midelton last week so get your facts right before u make assumptions

Bandon beeat Ashton and Midleton last week to affirm their position at the top of Munster hockey, so there is no way they are only 2nd ot 3rd in the province. Although they have a very inexperienced team, without any 6th years, they wil put up a fight as always.

Before I get my facts wrong? I happened to see than particular match as it happens. Bandon were 2-0 down until ashton took off 6 players and put Dan Hobbs out of defense into midfield. I also heard that Ashton beat Bandon 2-0 in bandon earlier in the season with half a team, not sure how midleton did though.

Cookstown should win it - only 1 player missing from last year,(greg allen)although he did score around 48 goals for them. They have at least 5 players who are making the senior Cookstown squad.

Friedly matches mean nothing.Ashton maybe be slighty better this year even tho Bandon beat them with both teams having full squads.Bandon have hammered Ashton in the last 5 years and have been one of the top schools in Irish hockey in last 5 years.Be interesting to see how they do with a young squad this year.

bandons victory over ashton had nothing to do with them taking off 6 players,it was just bandons class came through in the end.bandon have dominated munster hockey over the last 6 years and their domination showed when they beat ashton. The great thing is aswell that ashton will never get out of their group never mind winning the schools.Whens the last time ashton got out of there group or won some silverware???

with brian corcoran in goal for bandon we ll be unstoppable.
