Mick McKinnon will hope to lead the Leinster U-16s to their ninth interprovincial title at this level but will face tough opponents all weekend with Connacht and Ulster probably the front runners in Kilkenny over the weekend.
Holders Connacht go into the tournament with a number of the U-18 side that lost out on goal-difference including skipper Freddie Timmins and Dora Gorman while Ulster can never be discounted.
The Leinster side draws five players apiece from Old Alex and Railway while there are four Hermes players - including Laura Pinder, sister of Gillian - as they go in search of their first title since 2005.
