Men's Division Two preview

Avoca's visit to Bray looks the pick of the games this Saturday though a couple of recent surprises mean the other two sides on 12 points, Skerries and Clontarf can take nothing for granted against Weston and Navan respectively.

Derby day on the East coast, though, could see Avoca get their title challenge into gear as they return to league action for the first time since October 18. There's decent quality in their side with Ezra Handelman and Karl Chapple to the fore while Bray struggled to win in Weston despite enjoying the majority of play. Bray's Robbie Hanna returns to his old club though whether he dons the pads in place of Greg Keeley or plays outfield remains to be seen.

That doggedness could see the Lucanites doing a number on free-scoring Skerries if Ali McMahon and Alan Early struggle to hit the target. The pair have been in blistering form but were held at bay by Navan, who will hope to repeat the trick against Clontarf.

Trinity, meanwhile, will hope to bounce back from their midweek loss to Weston in Naas, though they will do so without Andy Gray who suffered a couple of fractured bones after the encounter with Weston.

Saturday:
Naas vs Dublin University, 3pm, Caragh Road; Bray vs Avoca, 1.15pm, Loreto Bray; Clontarf vs Navan, 2pm, Mt Temple; Skerries vs Weston, 3pm, Skerries

Big game for Naas and Trinity, a big bottom of the table clash, hard to see anyone but Naas coming away with all three points.

Clontarf v Navan (Match Abandoned)at half time. umpires decided to abandoned match due to parts of the pitch being frozen!

For the record, the score at the time of the match being abandoned was 4 - 0 to clontarf!!

+ Navan were down to 10 men!

Sickener!!!
