Railway Union 1 (Kate McKenna) Corinthian 0
Kate McKenna's (pictured) tenth minute goal was all that separated league-leaders Railway from ninth-placed Corinthian. McKenna got on the end of a good turnover move, tapping in Sinead Walsh's shot at the back post after the midfielder had made an initial run and one-two.
Railway enjoyed the majority of the pressure and slightly more corners but Corinthian defended solidly in quite a scrappy second half. Sarah Walker was superb and they had a couple of corners but were unable to create a vital chance to tie the game up.
Speaking afterwards, Corinthian coach Scott Crombie said that while "there's a lot still to work on, we have a good base to go from".
