Leinster Hockey on Youtube

With most Leinster clubs becoming more technologically-minded, The Hook is hoping to use the fact that most division one side's record their game to help promote our game further. To this end, The Hook invites you and your clubs to send in your video links so that we can start getting regular live action from domestic matches onto the internet.

The first such clip comes Three Rock's first goal in their 3-1 win, with Lucas Piccioli providing the assist for Kyle Good.

If you have any clips or videos you would like to share with The Hook, please email me at stevie_findlats@yahoo.com

Would anyone be interested in watching all the Three Rock penalty corner routines? Its a few months old but it's something to watch I guess.

In relation to this, I'm hoping to just have highlights on the site rather than clubs exchanging tactical insights to each other.

Maybe you could leave a permanent link somewhere on the main page as it would be great if successful.

Yup, will do if I get a few more sent in to me.

I was watching Irish paintballing on DCTV (dctv.ie) a community based station available on NTL/Chorus and don't see any reason hockey couldn't be doing the same thing. The IHL is ideal for broadcasting and if it initally gets a broadcast on DCTV or city channel it might entice other better funded stations like TV3/RTE/Setanta to take it up if they like what they see. If Irish paintballing can do this no reason hockey can't!

Try vimeo.com instead of youtube as they allow better videos to be uploaded.
