Men's Division Two: Weston 2 Dublin Uni 1

Weston 2 (Phil Barron, Shane O'Hare) Dublin University 1 (Daire Coady)

Weston leap-frog Trinity with a 2-1 win as things go from bad to worse for the students for whom Barry Glavey faces suspension after his red card.

The Lucan side went two up by the break thanks to Phil Barron and Shane O'Hare - who recently celebrated his 40th birthday - before Daire Coady pulled one back in the second half on a night where a further four yellow cards were brandished.

Great result for weston. trinity will struggle not to finish in the bottom half of div 2 this season judging by their results recently. It's more or less the same players as they had last year also isn't it, bar one or two players brought in? Capable of competing on their day and have good players but results like this suggest a lack of mental and indeed physical toughness...
